• Alistair Overeem will fight in October

  •

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem who recently withdrew from the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix has managed to arrange a fight for October which is what he originally wanted. He may not be fighting in the Strikeforce event but he will compete in October. Overeem is expected to take part in a United Glory event that is set to take place in Russia. Martin De Jong who promotes for United Glory also trains fighters at the Golden Glory gym where Overeem trains. He is likely to have arranged for Overeem to get involved with the event. Alistair’s Strikeforce contract apparently allows him to fight for other promotions and Overeem has made use of that. It is suspected that Overeem only has one fight left on his Strikeforce contract so it will be interesting to see what the future holds. I am personally an Overeem fan and would love to see him continue competing at the top levels of MMA.

    Thanks Guys,
