News has recently emerged that the UFC’s first event to be aired on FOX will take place on November 12th 2011 in Anaheim. The first fight to be announced is a featherweight battle between Dustin Poirier and Pablo Garza. The last fight that Garza was involved in was against Fredson Paixao at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale event. Pablo won the fight by knockout as a result of landing a flying knee. Garza was one of the fighters who moved over to the UFC from the WEC like his opponent Dustin. Pablo has won his 2 fights in the UFC and will look to carry on with winning ways. Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier is a very skilled fighter who has also seen success since being integrated into the UFC from the WEC. He has won his last three frights against Jason Young, Josh Grispi and Zach Micklewright, so this definitely makes for a very even match in terms of stats. We will see on the night who comes out on top and moves one step higher in the featherweight division.
