  • Jimi Manuwa 215x300 Kyle Kingsbury vs. Jimi Manuwa added to UFC on FUEL TV 5 in NottinghamThe lastest addition to the UFC on Fuel TV 5 card is a light-heavyweight bout between Kyle Kingsbury (11-4) and undefeated British fighter Jimi Manuwa (11-0). The event will take place on Sept. 29 at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.

The matchup has reported by various sources this week and has now been officially confirmed by the UFC.

UFC Nottingham will feature a headline bout between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic who will engage in a heavyweight battle. The event will air LIVE on Fuel TV with the prelims set to air on Facebook.

Kyle Kingsbury last fought at UFC 146 in May, where he was defeated by Glover Teixeira via first round submission. Prior to that he dropped a unanimous decision to Stephan Bonnar at UFC 139 last November. His last victory was against Fabio Maldonado at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Final, where he scored a controversial unanimous decision win and earned “Fight of the Night” honors. With two losses in a row Kingsbury badly needs a win to secure his position within the promotion against Manuwa.

Unbeaten Jimi Manuwa is currently riding an 11 fight winning streak, most recently defeating Antony Rea via TKO at BAMMA 8 last December. Just prior to that he scored a first round TKO win over Nick Chapman at UCMMA 24, and another first round stoppage over Valentino Petrescu at UCMMA 14. This British knockout specialist will no doubt look to make a big impression on the UFC with a good performance over Kingsbury in his debut.
