  • SNA 13 2013 Poster Low Res 1 212x300 ShocknAwe 13: Event Review and ResultsShock’n'Awe 13 took place this past Saturday (March 9th) at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, England. The event featured a headline bout between Phil Else and Jason Furness, who fought for the Shock’n'Awe British featherweight title. Jason was able to take Phil’s back early in the first round and secure a standing rear naked-choke submission victory.

The atmosphere inside the Mountbatten Centre was electric. The venue was packed with passionate supporters and true MMA fans, which coupled with the stacked lineup of talent made for a fantastic night of action. The originally scheduled main event bout between Mike Ling and Lloyd Clarkson had to be scratched due to Clarkson going AWOL just days before the event. However, the skill and heart show by the rest of the fighters on the card easily compensated for this and I am sure anyone in attendance would have gone home very satisfied.
