  • CWFC Fight Night 9 poster 212x300 CWFC Fight Night 9 Results: Gael Grimaud annihilates Bruno CarvalhoThe results are in for CWFC Fight Night 9, which took place at the King Hussein Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan, on Friday, October 25th. In the main event, Gael Grimaud completely blitzed Bruno Carvalho, securing a dominant first round KO win. Following the bout, Grimaud made it clear that he has unfinished business with Cage Warriors welterweight champion Cathal Pendred.

This headliner only lasted 45 seconds. Gael Grimaud started the fight off all guns blazing and managed to drop Carvalho to the canvas, following up with some punches from the top. A stunned Carvalho was able to get back to his feet, but Grimaud continued to swarm with strikes. Eventually Gael landed a sweet punch that dropped Carvalho once more, he landed another punch for good measure before the referee rushed in to call a stop to the action.

In the co-main event, Faycal Hucin picked up a big win over former UFC fighter Che Mills. After a pretty even first round, Hucin was able to get the upper hand in the second knocking Mills to the ground with some nice strikes. Che was able to escape from danger, but still looked a bit hazy. Hucin capitalized, got Mills to the ground and began to land some punishing blows. After a barrage of left hands to the face the referee eventually stepped in to stop the fight.

Elsewhere on the card, Ronnie Mann scored a unanimous decision victory over a tough Marat Pekov. BKK fighter Jack Mason returned to the win column with a second round TKO win over Vladimir Opanasenko, Egyptian native Mohamed Ali secured a first round submission victory over Frenchman Prince Aounallah, and Jean N’Doye submitted Sergey Grechka in the third round of their bout.

Lastly, Lee Caers, who we spoke with earlier this week, picked up an impressive first round submission win over Piotr Ptasinski. That makes eight submission victories for Caers over the course of his pro career so far, the rear-naked choke is fast becoming his trademark.
