A new bout has been added to the UCMMA 32 card as Linton Vassell (10-3) defends the UCMMA light-heavyweight title against Zelg Galesic (11-7). The event is set to take place at the Troxy in London on Feb. 2.

The bout was confirmed today by UCMMA officials.

UCMMA 32 will also feature a UK-1 middleweight fight between Charlie Brown and Tony Giles, and a middleweight battle between Makunga Bunduku and Karl Lawrence. UCMMA will be releasing more fights leading up to Christmas.

Here is what UCMMA’s Dave O’Donnell had to say:

“It is great to have a pride veteran on the card, I have known Zelg for years fighting for me his 1st bout back in 2006 at Cage Rage 15, he was a monster at Middleweight so I believe he will be a tough opponent for any man at Light-Heavyweight, BUT that being said, Vassell isn’t the champion for nothing, the man is a class fighter, I don’t think the judges will stay in business for this fight.”

Linton Vassell is currently riding a five fight winning streak, most recently defeating Nick Chapman via second round submission at UCMMA 29 in August. Prior to that he scored a first round submission win over Aurelijus Kerpe at UCMMA 26 in February to become light-heavyweight champ. Vassell will now look to make his second title defense with a big win over Galesic.

Zelg Galesic last fought at Bellator 71 in June, where he dropped a first round submission loss to Attila Vegh. Prior to that he scored a first round KO victory over Doug Marshall at SFL 3 in May, following a first round submission defeat against Alexander Shlemenko at Bellator 50 in September 2011. Things have been a bit up and down for Galesic recently, but he will no doubt look to get himself back onto the winning track with a big performance against Vassell.
