U.K. based MMA promotion Ultimate Impact Cagefighting have their next event just around the corner and it is sure to be an exciting one. The event is set to take place on Saturday, February 23rd at Leisure@Cheltenham in Cheltenham, England. This will be the promotions second event at this larger venue, which features good facilities and an increased seating capacity to house the ever growing army of UIC fans.

UIC 9 “Vendetta” will feature a headline bout between current UIC welterweight champion Lee Caers (8-2) and title challenger Ashley Beaumont (3-0). In the co-main event Mario Saeed will battle Leon Rosser for the UIC lightweight title.

Lee Caers is currently riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Kevin Reed via second round TKO at Cage Warriors 49 in October 2012. Prior to that he scored a first round submission victory over Ben Constantine at UIC 8 in August 2012, and a first round TKO win over Matt Robinson at  the “Killacam Promotions 3″ event in June 2012. Caers will no doubt look to extend his winning streak to five with a good performance against Beaumont.

Ashley Beaumont last fought at Pain Pit Fight Night 5 in November 2012, where he scored a first round KO win over Piotr Ptasinski. Prior to that he picked up a first round TKO victory over Radoslaw Klepczarek at Pain Pit Fight Night 3 in June 2012, and a first round KO win over Steve Wright at SFN 5 in May 2012. Beaumont has the chance to put another notch in the win column by defeating Caers on Feb 23.
