  • Cage Warriors 60 Poster Cage Warriors 60 Results: A new champ is crowned, Steven Ray wins lightweight tourneyThe final results are in for the Cage Warriors 60 event, which took place at The Forum in Kentish Town, London, England, last night as Steven Ray was crowned the new lightweight champion after defeating Jason Ball in the lightweight tournament opening round, and then Sean Carter in the tournament final.

Sean Carter was called to action after it was announced that Ivan Buchinger, who defeated Mick Sinclair in the lightweight tourney opening round, had suffered a rib injury. Carter had defeated Richard Griffin via second round submission in their lightweight tourney reserve bout, so when the news came of Buchinger’s injury, Carter stepped up to the plate to challenge for the vacant title.

In the final, Steven Ray was able to submit Sean Carter late in the first round, becoming the new lightweight champ. Two fights in one night is not easy, so props to both Ray and Carter for showing great tenacity and heart.

In the co-main event, Aaron Wilkinson bounced back into the win column, picking up a win over Bola Omoyele. The former “TUF: The Smashes” contestant had been on a six fight winning streak, which was snapped after Wilkinson was able to score a TKO finish early in the second round.

Also on the main card, Kacper Karski scored a first round submission victory over British middleweight prospect Leeroy Barnes. Polish native Karski, who was making his Cage Warriors debut looked sharp and dangerous on the ground. He was able to sink in a D’Arce choke, giving Barnes no option but to tap.

Elsewhere on the card, Bryan Creighton picked up an impressive submission win over Spencer Hewitt. Amanda Kelly, who was making her much anticipated Cage Warriors debut, showcased some nice Muay Thai skills, landing a first round KO win over Hannah Stephens.

Lastly, Arnold Allen remains undefeated after scoring a second round submission win over Declan Williams. The BKK fighter looked strong and showcased a well rounded game, picking up his fifth straight victory.
